AUSTRALIAN ARTILLERY ASSOCIATION
LOGO

Australian Artillery Association Banner

The Australian Artillery Logo was designed and created by Mr Kim I. McGrath.   Kim is a retired Gunner and also the founding and inaugural President of the Australian Artillery Association.

The logo is designed in the shape of a bomb with a portion extracted from the left hand side that enables the logo to also represent the letter "A" which is the initial letter of each of the 3 words in the associations title, additionally the space left out to form the "A" gives the impression of a reflective area thus making the "A" projectile seem round.   On top is the Royal Australian Artillery badge under which all Gunners serve and the name of the association below.   The two colours involved are Dark Blue and Scarlet those being the two colours of the Royal Regiment of the Australian Artillery Corps.

Rumour has it that when the logo was being designed the creator also had in mind the Australian catch cry "Aussie" "Aussie" "Aussie".
